It's actually pretty common in large cities over there, had that happen to me while I travelled in Tokyo, got scouted bc I had a "youthful face that would look perfect as a model". Come to find out that the card he gave was from a Hostess Bar. Real life is wild sometimes.
...........is haoran also trafficking people ?? because right in chapter one he says he's a scout. as in he scouts people to sell off. is there a scene in a different chapter i've forgotten that recontextualizes that ?? i feel like there must be, considering the story deals so heavily with the trauma he has from being a trafficked.................so surely they wouldn't just brush over him doing that himself
