Ugh this good guy act

He’s doing the same thing my ex boyfriend use to do … it’s giving me the ick because it’s manipulative.
He seems to use the MCs emotional attachment as his “friend” to sway him into staying with him and letting him over protect him. As MC says he kinda over does it and still treating him like a caged bird and not letting him experience his own trials. Honestly it’s lowjey probably why the MC didn’t pick him and the ML seem like a bit of freedom.
