. We need more people who actually analyze what they are consuming. This is like YT reactors issue where most of them actually literally "sit there and react". Only a few would discuss, create theories and provide a personal analysis. And you are like the latter type of "Reactor".
Thank you so much for the compliment! I always believe it's way more fun and interesting when one tries to grasp a full understanding of the stories they're consuming. It's not something that's supposed to be done all the time because some stories aren't for that type of activity like most comedic, slice-of-life or simple stories since sometimes turning off your brain for a min or two would also be good to relax a lil and just enjoy. I binged read this, and honestly, there are things that are really inconsistent... For example, the parents straight up changes their appearances from when they first showed up begging the girl to teach their son swordsmanship to basically having a whole different design, in which can happen as they were "minor" characters before. In the recent chapters (71-75), the council president literally had a whole ass personality change. He first appeared as a guy who held discriminatory views towards commoners to the point of rejecting Class E from forming a club to out of nowhere actually wanting to make the school a fairer place for them... Minor details but it doesn't add up at all. Most of the characters that are introduced that don't take up the screen as much aren't much consistent and just change based on the plot. Also, it's been 70 chapters already and only a little bit more than 2 months have passed in the story. That's crazy. It's like so much but so little is happening at the same time.
Another thing I find questionable is that there isn't a legit important drive or end goal to the story at all, like there isn't really a motivation for the Mc to move forward. It isn't a bad thing, but looking at all the things he's doing, you'll expect there to be something. Yes, sure, it might be wanting to protect his new found family or wanting to go back home, but both goals just contradict each other. Mc wants the story to reach it's climax/end to go back home, so he doesn't involve or do anything much with the other characters, but at the same time he wants to protect people while changing the plot but at the same time... he isn't??? It's hella confusing. At one point, he does whatever he can to level up, but then he does absolutely nothing with it to do anything at all just so that he doesn't change the story when there are actively multiple players trying to do the opposite. He's really neutral in which isn't bad but I wished they could have added something more to it. I think that's basically the issue I have with it. Mc is too neutral to the point that nothing ever moves forward unless a threat or a problem is forced upon him. He doesn't drive the story forward, but the supporting characters are doing way more than he.
I do like the action scenes though. They're hella cool. The art isn't that bad at all just that for some reason Risa's butt would take up 25% of the panels for absolutely no reason at all. It's a bit refreshing for me to read, since I haven't read something like this, that Mc starts out chubby but stays that way. The premise was really interesting and I had high hopes for this, but something just lacks in the story. Mc is trying so hard to stay a loser that he's actually becoming one. I don't think it's horrible having started out like that since the action/fantasy part is handled well. If only they could elaborate more on what's going on with the nobles or the world, maybe it can deepen our understanding on how much some events are impacting the setting.
