The story is taking a weird direction i think. The characters' emotions are really confusing me.
Because one second Ian is resentful and confused ABT being treated as Brian, especially by Sol because he wants to be seen as himself. However, the next second he gives in to having sex with him, no hesitation. Like yes i understand he felt like Sol grounded him and gave him a safe space however realistically I think it'd be hard to feel fulfilled from intimacy with someone you're not sure sees you for your right?
Then there's Sol being so fucking passive it's pissing me off. What exactly is he afraid of? What is more important than taking care of the lover he's been searching for for years, and how is he seemingly so blind to his internal conflict? Like I love that he is letting him decide right and wrong for himself and letting him figure stuff out but bro. You have been waiting for so many years, show some of that on your face? Where is the PINING? The being stupidly in love with your lover?
The only character whose emotions make remotely any sense are Lorkan's. He's driven by the obsession for Ian. And all his actions have actually been very in according with that. He is a bit one dimensional in that aspect but it makes sense. Would love to see a bit more internal conflict about betraying his brother but he's a cutthroat villain okay fine. He's clever and knows how to get what he wants which makes him ignorant to Ian's real needs. So he makes a lot of sense to me.
Overall, the story is going in a direction much different than anticipated from season 1 for me. I liked season 2 a lot as well because it showed Sol growing as a person and the contrast in how Lorkan couldn't do the same and more importantly it had well established emotions and morals, unlike in season three where it all seems conflicting and rocky. Hopefully, it will have a satisfying end.
