I'm sorry both guys are red flags Threatening to kill the person she loves if she doesn't marry him is red flag behaviour.

Yeah, killing an assassin to save you, your crush and your own family is a "red flag" just the same color of the one the assassin has for sure.....
Sorry but Mitsuharu, even with all his flaws, is FAR better than Shinpei as a person.
I just don't know why people are being so delusional and trying to blow up his flaws and make him "on the same level" as Shinpei.
Satoko loves Shinpei only anyway...

That's not why he wants to kill him though. He's using him as blackmail to force her to marry him. Also I never defended Shinpei did I? Literally said they were both red flags. Never said anyone was better or worse.

I may be wrong but I don't feel Mitsuharu is doing that, We will see next chapters but him "simply" using him for blackmail is totally different of how see their situation, since that just sounds petty and is an overly simplistic way to describe whats happening too, I believe he knows she doesn't love him, but he does like her, and doesn't trust Shinpei for logical reasons , he is not the type to "force" someone to like him like that and seems to be in deep thought everytime they are together, he is probably curious about this "love" they claim for one another. He is just used to everything be handed to him and has the charisma to win everyone over, even Satoko doesn't dislike him and Shinpei admits he is "a good option" , when everything becomes clear he'll step down.

I think "red flag" is an exaggerated way to call the natural immaturity Mitsuharu has, since his heart and mind are more open and on the good side unlike Shinpei, who has always being presented as crazy with the last remains of his sanity belonging completely on Satoko, because he himself doesn't care anymore about morals, he probably doesn't even knew them before Satoko appeared and asked him not to kill, wich was shown this chapter.

If Shinpei wasn't , well Shinpei, I think he would've let go Satoko faster/easier instead of testing the boy like he is doing now.
