I know some people just think @me_for_pres is saying Sangyang just cause but Sangyang is the actual most shonen-like bl imo. Like it has VERY (and I mean VERY) heavy emphasis on the side characters and everyone's backstories. The character designs are also made to make each character look unique and different. The mc also looks like he belongs in a shounen mystery (just look at the guy lol). It focuses on the mystery/action plot and the fantastical worldbuilding, the romance is really just a few moments here and there. The pacing and scenes are also super shounen-like. More than anything though, it just captures the same vibe as old school shonen in the art. As a huge shonen nerd (and a bl fan) it's my wet dream. I can't recommend it enough if that's what you're looking for.

ik i'm the umpteenth person to say this and i don't wanna make it sound like we're all just a cult jumping u. but in all of my years reading bl none of them have been able to match the shounen/seinen genres' vibe as much as sangyang imo. this is something i stole from another commenter but i feel it sums just how it captures the same vibes:

" Something about this feels so nostalgic, like a noir mystery manga I’ve long since forgotten. It feels very 90s or 2000s shounen. Like how none of the characters have parents. Or how they all wear only one goddamn outfit despite being rich. Or the way the settings are kinda mysterious but generic enough to take place in your area. For example they just name the poor part of town “development zone of old city” or the rich area “new city”. Idk something about it really just triggers the weeb in me it’s like it was made for me. Ughhhh I love noir so much. "
