i think the fundamental difference between uncle A and little A when they were running the farm is that the uncle, while with the best intentions, kept treating the farm residents as humans and ONLY human. there's a dissonance between his wishes to treat them with respect & bodily autonomy VS the unconventional needs they have as hybrids. little A seems to seamlessly bypass that.
i'm still guessing if the explanation for the beastification will lean more towards scientific yaoi logic or unsettling fae or a mix of both, bc like, why. wdym they have to be careful about giving out their full names.
