Have we been reading the same story ? He’s definitely not being nice to her for a reason other than obligation, you don’t need to worry about about him being too nice because he’s always made it clear who his heart belongs to
if he is being friendly to her because he needs to be sly then okay but otherwise it rubs me the wrong way
