I think it’s meant to be pronounce as “Manga-go”. But I’ve always been saying it as “Man-gago”.

I pronounce it like man-gago, and thanks to your comment, I realized I was doing it wrong. But in Spanish, "gago" means stutterer, so I unconsciously relate it.
