Nah bc Hozumi basically hit on Ibuki drunk multiple times and led him on for 8 years. They weren’t together but he sure took advantage of a guy he knew liked him at every opportunity, got jealous when he had no right but let Ibuki see him sleep with a ton of women (he knew it made Ibuki uncomfortable but he did it and talked about it in front of him anyways). Hozumi doesn’t owe Ibuki reciprocated feelings but he does owe him the decency of not pushing him around and ignoring that Ibuki likes him and refuses to face his own feelings bc he’s “lonely”, most people. I mean Ibuki had to be extremely pushy and there was dubious consent in the beginning to get this relationship to work which I didn’t care for either, so they both have faults. But yes I’m going to be more critical of the guy who rejected his best friend that he would hit on every time he got drunk, treats him like an indentured servant bc he knew he had feelings for him, and gets jealous of guys flirting with him (he wasn’t even flirting back) despite sleeping around and seriously considering an arranged marriage.
