I really love that the story is using typical tropes but is turning them on their head or not letting them drag out. Like other comments said, uke confronting him soon after the hj and now the seme immediately clearing up the jealousy, and a personal guilty pleasure the down bad top actually still being a virgin, or at the very least having a meaningful friendship with a woman that he didn’t also casually hookup with. Usually when an uke has unrequited love in a story he stays a monk until the ML finally shows interest so it’s refreshing to see the seme being the one lovesick and not turning to hookups to forget.
