Damn... They both finally blew up, huh. Lots of feelings from both care and frustration pent up for sure, so it's not like it's that unexpected especially since they're teenagers. It's part of why I like this manga tbh. It's easy to say “do something” “be decisive” “just say how you feel” but it's not exactly that easy to do for most people. I get why the other commenters are becoming frustrated at Minato but thinking about it from his perspective, it's not really that easy. Aside from his personality, he's clearly prioritizing his friendship first with Issei, who's very vocal about liking Hodaka. I think he's even thinking that it would be better for Hodaka and Issei to end up together? And due to that, he might not easily accept that what he feels for Hodaka is ‘like’ because it would only make their situation more complicated. I like how the manga depicts reality in that way—how the seemingly simple feelings for some could be difficult to deal with for others. Also, it's clear that all three of them have their own flaws and priorities in this situation.
And again, they're TEENAGERS, guys. Feelings just seem complex at that age. (I say as someone who only recently ended my last teenage year lmao)
Ultimately, I kinda want Issei and Minato to fix their friendship before either of them gets with Hodaka though. Better to fix it rather than let the emotional burden and teenage angst pile up, lol. If possible, like the other commenters, I'd be fine with them going poly too (shockingly, 'cause I'm not really a fan of poly ).
