I cried at the part in the novel when he visits his grandma again it wasn’t cliche at all and the writer illustrated the pain of loving someone so well. I’m so excited for the adaption but it’s gonna be bleak

In the novel the mc is so heartbroken at the news of his grandmother’s stroke that he starts hyperventilating like crazy and after she’s recovering he’s lamenting the pain of loving someone and how at any second they could leave I.e die and he’s dumbfounded by how much he can still love his grandmother despite her being severely ill. Like it showed how love is complex and not just roses and flowers. In that moment he’s lost all hope because he feels that even after loving someone they’ll just leave anyway and of course that’s when that bastard saves him as he’s having a breakdown mid hospital rush (apparently there was a large car crash and so they moved non important people away from surgery, his grandmother one of them ) and so he screams and wails and hounds every doctor to save his granny I started bawling.
