omg yes, it does feel like it. he's obsessed with his step dad to a point where it feels like he hates him and just wants him to suffer, very weird. maybe he's just a sadistic prick, but still it makes me wonder... it's like he loves him and hates him at the same time. all of this feels more like a punishment instead of him just trying to win him over lol
