I mean, i think it's okay if a guy says this out of concern, cuz we know those attacks happen a lot.. But we also know that 1) women get attacked despite their clothing and 2) there's a huge possibility they're just saying this cuz they don't want their partners to "look too good for other guys" - which can reflect a fear of being cheated or just some manipulative shit.
That's why I prefer the "being the only one to see it" perspective too - it's absolutely adorable XD

I get it, we gotta see what kind of intentions they have - in this manga's case the guy seems like he cares for her, but i guess that, in most cases, this narrative can be both about caring and insecurity, since those things are not mutually exclusive. Bcuz of that, even if a guy says he wants to feel special being the only one to see a girl's body, that's quite hard to believe.
