One thing that pisses me off about this kinds of manga is that the girl doesn't even LOOK ugly. There are so many girls in Japan that look like her, or even less conventionally attractive. Yes teens can be pricks, but I doubt ALL of these girls are getting constantly bullied and called ugly just for looking...average?? Not to mention the sexism, why are only the girls bullied when there are so many "ugly" guys. It's also sad that they add freckles as an "ugly" feature.
With the way ppl are treating her, you'd think she'd look 10x worse.
I also wish to see more manga where the chubby girl is confident in herself from the start instead of the plot being the same old thing of her trying to not be insecure and "love herself". It's overdone
