Why does the writer never give same-sex couples an option to adopt in stories like these? I'm saying this because whenever one has a thought about never being able to give them a child, why not try adopting when seriously thinking about wanting a child, especially when it's clear one or both the characters are not just good with children but wouldn't mind one.
