He was literally bragging about how he killed children before in one of his inner monologues and thus had no issue attempting to kill his infant niece. So I don't know why he's suddenly acting like he has sense not to kill these kids. Progress, I guess. (granted, we don't talk about all the people sherina murdered lol)

    He also had these kids under his employment though. I feel like that's different than just kids you don't know. After raising Sherina and his son, he finally sees children as their own people lol

    I hate to say it, but that's true. He's never demonstrated being cold enough to kill anyone he's developed an "interest" in. He may have always been week to close proximity, which is why he kept telling her to go away to avoid developing attachment in the first half
