Yes, as someone whos reading the novel now, Yuri doesnt really have impure thoughts of Xinlu when he was a child he even said himslef, Yuri Gable, said it himself to Ling Xinlu, who was suspicious to him.
Funny enough, he was also suspicious of liking a child, but as Yuri Gable said himslef, he doesnt think of Xinlu that way.
i think some of u misunderstood yuri, yuri never had impure thoughts of xinlu, and when he met him as a kid, he sees him as part of ocean like someone unreal and beautifully. Its more like the beauty xinlu posses really grabbed Yuri's attention and nothing else.
