Yes, they use English. In the novel, Tay can speak English and Korean. Mostly, they communicate in english. The only time Ilay use German is in where he beat the shit out of the mirror because he almost killed tay

I have been wondering…what language tay and ilay use to communicate? There are alot of times where tay be talking to hisself and ilay understand it he cant be speaking english to hisself no?
