Honestly sometimes this is why I hate “second” couples and can you even call this a second couple?
Spoilers: I cannot rant without them The whole “brother” thing they had going on WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE, like I get that 1. It’s for the plot and 2. That’s how the “older one” felt, but like… yall should’ve cut it off like at least after season one and then because yall making it weird. Yall just make it seem like this mf older one will always carry the guilt for his fathers assault on the younger one, and the younger one was so one dimensional, all you got was his character was the coddled traumatized brother WHO WAS INCONVENIENT IN EVERY FUCKING WAY AS SOON AS HE “CAME TO” becuz as soon as that fuckass incubus leaves it’s like pinkie couldn’t rub two brain cells together. They were so concerned about the big bad, which alright fine, BUT THEN YOU NEVER get a satisfying ending with this annoying ass mafia bastard and pinkie AND they took away from the main couple. I felt like even though you get SOME of their back story, not enough to warrant having any leniency on if they’re “in love” or not?
As for the main couple - as sometimes cute as they were and as much drive as the main couple had, gotta say I did not get when tf the ML fell for the MC. There was no chemistry there in the beginning, he was a jerk at first, slept with the bottom once and then BAM he’s in love. It just didn’t make any sense the way their relationship progressed, but ok now we’re here. Now what? Let’s take away from this couple to continue the “big bad” storyline AND WHENEVER YOU GET COUPLE MOMENTS LETS PAN OVER TO THE INCUBUS FUCKINF SHIT UP WHEN THE MC/ML R BUSY ELSEWHERE. It’s like every fucking minor inconvenience happened to make the story progress and NOT EVEN in a good way, again becuz no RELATIONSHIP got a chance to be expanded.
For as much as I’m ranting - the story was ok. Honestly it suffered some, but it wasn’t the worst, I just really wish they wouldn’t have taken so long on the incubus becuz as much of a big bad as he was, it just was to the detriment of the story to continue with it sometimes. And like I said, second couple should’ve just been shot down or something cuz it got the most unsatisfying ending ever and it leaves you feeling like… ok so like how r they gonna progress here? Brothers or lovers? :/ Jesus Christ what a question.
