WARNING: I still read the story, no actual hard feelings on the characters, just hard fists towards people who can't differentiate good and bad behaviors in fiction, so hopefully they at least differentiate fiction from reality.
I'll be speaking as if this was a rl scenario, I don't need people saying "tHiS Is FiCTioN", like I KNOW, but there seems people not getting why other readers dislike the ML.
TLDR: he's not bad per se for wanting just sex and no feelings (that's normal, people are horny unless ace). But how he chooses and treats his partner according to his own whims is contradictory to a boundary set and healthy relationship/partnership he actively engages with someone he knows has a crush on him. Before being fuck buddies, they are people, people should respect each other, not taking advantage of the other's intimacy to take a mile from an inch.
He's just an ahh of a person, that's it. It's a no strings attached but he just keeps playing on MC's feelings, and it's been so long but as I remember, he took advantage of the MC's ridiculous condition. Such sensitivity is imposible irl (hair is an appendage that doesn't feel), but who tf just goes and suggest a ridiculous "cure" method if not for fucking with a person really struggling, common sense doesn't apply to these stories and I accept it, no biggie, it's all smut.
But the underlying issue on the inequality of their situations is there. The MC is turning even more mush brained to go along.
There's nothing wrong with just wanting to be fuck bodies and no strings attached, or whatever you wanna do to shrug responsibility of actual communication with your partner so you are on the same page. But for that shit look for someone on your wavelength, the insufferable celebrity was 1. Good-looking. 2. Also looking for superficial relationship. People can pursue their own lifestyle, but do share it with people who agree and know about it, not others.
And some like to forget that ML considered entering a relationship with MC anter the celebrity's comment on making it "exclusive". Thoughts aren't the same as actions, but this is a story, nothing is just "casual" (some poor soul sat up to write that before deadlines). That'd be deception on the MC's feelings, unless they continue on an "exclusive fuck buddy" agreement, but as always, the more drama the better.
