I guess it’s because he isn’t addicted to killing; he didn’t get pleasure from it; he just had some healing to do to so in a way he was redeemable/reformable. He wasn’t like a sicko or got pleasure or thrill. He wasn’t more of a traumatized person who needed care and understanding and teachings of humanity.

wait somebody tell me. is ML a serial killer and they still get together at the end??? I hate reading stories where the ending isn't happy but like... how are you going to redeem a serial killer lol. if they do get together at the end I'll read it tho
