He thinks it’s love because his whole life he’s lived on the other side so to speak but now that he’s essentially crossed the river, he’s learning that what he felt was infatuation for the image sunhwa showed him on their dates and that he doesn’t really like the other side of him. It’s tough for him because sunhwa literally lied to him and then dragged him to a hotel one day and another dude was there and started choking him and then finding out he was never satisfying his partner? That’s gotta be tough especially if you’re the kind of person who can’t fathom hurting your partner even if they enjoy it. With mokyeon, none of that exists. Mokyeon was honest from the start about his intentions and his proclivities and when he’s with him, he doesn’t have to overthink or spend money or go to these elaborate dates. He can be himself. I think he just can’t let go of the sunhwa who is his “out”. Like how you keep a job you hate while you pursue a career you love but isn’t very financially stable from the start.

I still don't get Nanjo's motivation. He doesn't seem to like Sunhwa enough to 1) not cheat 2) ask Sunhwa to be exclusive. Nothing makes sense
