sigh

no child deserves to go through this. i feel awful for baby jaekyung, i wish someone would have taken him away to somewhere safe (fuck his mom tbh). with that said, my empathy does not extend to adult jaekyung. dan had a miserable childhood & continued (continues) to have a hard time into adulthood & he still treats people with kindness. after a certain point, you have to decide to be kind even when the world hasn't been kind to you. it’s hard, but you have to TRY to become a better person, better than the people who hurt you. jaekyung hasn't chosen to be kind. he hasn’t tried to be better. i don't have sympathy for the adult he became.
