now that we got a portion of the much needed backstory, jaekyung's behavior makes so much sense (not justified, but once again adding nuance). he comes from an abusive upbringing and trained and trained in hopes of getting his mom to return. he really worked so hard to become something from nothing without any family. then comes dan, a "wimp" in his eyes, 29 years old, living in a fucked up situation while he's 26 and successful. jaekyung cannot grasp this concept, hence his disdain.
jae's closest of kin are namwook and yosep. the gym members are just colleagues. tbh i think namwook can be pretty lenient at times just to appease jae because of his anger. he's had no parental figure besides the gramps who he hasn't been around in a long time since jae moved to seoul. once again makes so much sense about his behavior. as it stands, i don't think jaekyung was ever taught care, consideration, or empathy. so how would he then be able to express that towards another person/ DAN?
if we're being honest, i don't think jaekyung can even take care of himself. he knows enough to get by and just works himself to the bone with 3 hours of sleep, grilled chicken, a glass of milk, and a side salad. which is how he got injured in the first place.
i hope next chapter we get the end of jae's backstory from gramps perspective and eventually jaekyung can then explain his jinx and how he even got it. i hope outspoken gramps is able to talk some sense into him and maybe mingwa can let us know what the hell they were talking about when they went for a stroll.
then lastly, and most important, a kyungdan moment where lovesick cold having jae has an episode of accidental vulnerability because his fever is too high.
10, or well 11 days in this case is a hell of a lot shorter than 3 months, but i want moreeeeeee...
