Fr though, I've read worse than this. And also the novel doesn't have alot of smut compared to jinx and potn. Personally I like Zhenya's character, CNA have a good plot and it is well written. POTN is good too, but Jinx? Uh I can say it's overhyped? But the plot is kinda mid.
probably because it has a solid build up to it so its not even a surprise, it was more or less expected zhenya wouldn’t be above doing something like that. also potn and jinx’s bottom are both smaller people, so it feels more messed up to read

If you delete all rape/sexual scenes from Codename Anastasia you're left with a solid plot of mafia, gangsters and mystery. But if you do that to Jinx or POTN, you're left with literally a kiss, a mid cliché plot, and maybe 2 or 3 chapter of romanticized abuse.
I also don't like rape, i don't support rape under any circumstances, but if you're gonna add that to a story, at least make it interesting with a strong character, a nice plot, or something like that (like Taekjoo or Leewon from Roses and Champgne) but in Jinx/POTN, the one who suffers is always acting like a child even tho it's a grown ass man and when they "fall in love" it has 0 character development, it's just a chapter when the poor bottom suffers or someone does something to him and then the top for some reason realizes he "loves" him and that's all. Boring.

Oh and something i forgot to ALSO mention is that there's a clichè manhwa plot where the top is all bad and shitty with the bottom until the bottom leaves and suddenly the top, as i mentioned before, realizes he "loves him" and the chasing arc begins.
Like, do authors even know how to write a decent chasing arc? A proper one? I know they really dont. It's always like that, and the bottom just forgives the top because he have been loving him since day 1, like... how can you fall in love with your abuser? Please
If you're gonna do a shitty top, al least don't fucking romanticize your story, make it a thriller, a horror, maybe something terrorific, but don't come at me with your +100 chapters of rape and then love out of nowhere just because.

Does any of yall have an explanation as to why codename anastasia’s rape is worst, but it’s somehow better than jinx or potn? Cause like, idk if it’s just me but i do not like potn nor jinx, i may even go as far as say i hate those manhwas. But codename anastasia is… not that bad to me (ive read parts of its novel). Or am I just embodying hypocrisy?
