Yeah lol it's a silly continuety thing
It wouldn't make sense if it I was different metal, cause why would he put it back on if he didn't like the pricing.
It doesn't take months to swell, but if it's been swelling/uncomfortable the whole time why didn't he take it out sooner.
And if they're not swelling, there's no way it would still be an open wound to worry about
As someone who has piercings this episode made me laugh. I understand the author was trying to give their characters "a moment", but it's a little cringe.
The only time my piercings have ever hurt is when I wear a certain metal an it causes swelling, making it hurt to take out. However it would do it immediately, not take months. Lol
