Our environment & circumstances make us and I guess this is the author's way to shed some light on what made JJ what he is. To anyone who is defending him... If anything he should have been kinder to Dan knowing how life is when you don't have money and what that desperation feels like but like most humans when you get a taste of money, greed can take over & that's probably what happened with JJ. He's still trash that came from 'trash' and this arc probably is trying to explain that. But I love how everyone here sees him for who he truly is (an abuser, rapist) though. Most of the comments know what's up
