It physically hurt to look at his eye lids at 6yrs old being uneven from so much swelling after being brutally beaten. I hope his asshole father died of a drug overdose.
Side note… I see why he was kind to Dan’s grandmother. She reminds him of his coach’s mother who fed him. Also it would be a full circle moment if one of those boys is the guy he lost the boxing match to. I’m just trying to figure out the obsession and motivation to go so far as physically harming him to win. I mean it could be as simple as wanting to be the new champion - but drama wise it would make his motivation more relevant to the story if he was one of Jaekyung’s bullies.
