I just might have to re-read the story from the beginning cuz the hate jaekyung receives seems extreme to me. Yeah he is an asshole but y’all calling him a rapist?! Like they literally had an agreement. And let’s be for real Dan would have been in a worst situation had Jaekyung not paid off his debt from the loan sharks. He would have been made a prostitute or gotten his organs sold. Does that make everything right & make Jaekying a hero, no it doesn’t. But that doesn’t change the fact that Dan would have been in a worst situation had it no been for jaek. Also, yall forget that once Dan got use to the sex he seemed genuinely happy. Those flashback of them playing games, watching tv. He probably got to experience some “peace” after being chased by loan sharks for who knows how long. & now seeing his backstory it’s clear that most of Jaekyung interactions must have been transactional. If I pay this I get this, if I do this I get this. Even that call to his mom, “mom please come home, I’ll make money & stop the pain”. I’m not saying any of this justifies his shitty attitude but let’s not act like he’s just a crazy asshole. He clearly lacks emotional maturity & clearly does not see anything wrong with his actions b/c that is how he was raised. Yeah he’s an asshole but he’s not mean, he treats his elderly nicely (grandma), treats his teammates to food, helped Dan even if it was transactional
