i mean i'd respect it more if they just straight up making him an unapologetic psycho backed with charisma to level up his likeability factors and why his victims find him hard to resist, or him finding defenses to his own twisted behavior and gaslight others including readers in the process, but that would involve actually making a fleshed out ml character rather than a half baked one like jaekyung is

but then that wouldn't be a bl anymore :)) it is kinda tricky using a red flag character to pursue a serious relationship. That's why we end up having this guy ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
To be honest, it's not about the characters themselves, it's more about how the story is told. Moreover, the author kinda makes it really obvious, like it's got a pattern, exactly the same as BJ Alex. So I'm not sure if it's on purpose, but if it is then the author knows what they are doing :)) like the readers still raging wars and talking about this guy even when we hate it so much :))) ngl it is a good strategy ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
korean bl authors truly do not have any other formula up their sleeves to redeem an abusive asshole other than a sad childhood backstory, its like they said "here, damn."
