i’m assuming it’s because he has the intention of killing lutus as revenge so there’s no concern of him telling people what he looks like and he wants him to see his real face when he does it not the face of a random person but the face of the sword saints successor. he’s probably also decided to trust luke and tell him the truth at this point so he’s not a concern either.
