Like, if I’m resonating and understanding a character, just to find out that they’re not gonna experience a happy ending, while the ml ends up with, and is happy or whatever, with someone else…..like wtf.
Honestly...the ending isn't as bad looking back. It's befitting. So, you might like it.

That's not it at all. It's an open ending. I think I know why they are saying that but the thing is that ship will never sail for 2 reasons;
One, Amon and Gwen are rivals (more so enemies that made a truce).
Two, Amon is loyal to his mate, regardless of what he goes through.
ohhh so they’re both basically rivals for nain? I’d gotten hints of that from when gwen was first introduced and was showing indifference towards Amon yet blushing at nain, but was completely thrown off by the “spoilers” saying it’s gonna be amon x Gwen instead… (Gwen gives off sunshine seme vibes so couldn’t really understand how he could be a bottom…)
From the way you’re speaking I’m guessing you’ve read the novel, but from what I’ve heard, Amon gets manipulative and toxic towards nain and progressively gets worse towards nain?
Like bro, I just wanted to read a pure (in this case, historical/period-piece) romantic yet smutty but cute love story of 2 breathtaking guys… yet authors nowadays gotta make up plots to ruin that (with rape, manipulative and toxic characters, abuse- you get the dark gist.) If you’ve read the novel and know any details, can you spare me the spoilers of whether this manhwa is going to go down that route?? I’d rather not get myself into another one of them cliche toxic stories masked by false fantasies

1. Who is Nain? Is he legit a kidnapped prince by a dragon (Amon) and is he legitimately a god (has lived a long ass time already but doesn’t remember).
2. Does Gwen save Nain (leaves continent with Nain) or is Nain stuck with Amon at that hellhole at the end :/ —or if he’s stuck with Amon, Nain was at least able to successfully improve the place (no more memory wiping, people killing, drugging, etc)—he’s not depresso for eternity. And/or does Amon and/or Gwen die?
Glad to hear Nain doesn’t officially end up with anyone. He needs a lot of self healing before he loves anyone again.

I finally completed all 191 chapters...Nothing mattered as I was too captivated by the story. And after all that...I await the visuals to catch up.
I won't give spoilers, but I will say that some scenes were a bit hard to stomach and others were hard-core. There are also moments when you'll scream "JUST GET THIS OVER WITH ALREADY, I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!" And yeah, the ending was uh...well as many said, not the best but it depends on your POV
Overall, a good 8.5/10. Sometimes the characters were insufferable and you can tell the author was trying to make everyone work even though it just didn't.
