I loved that this was short and had no time to get too attached, but what happened to the other one? Why traces of blood on cliff?? Why take lambs to cliff?? is he fine bc he is a shifter?? I'll guess we'll never know

In literal sense while taking the symbolisms at face value, Todd said at the start that he’s from the forest BEYOND the cliff.

Before winter, foxes would hunt food in the summer for food reserves

In one chapter when Todd said “did you think i was gonna kill you” when all the sheep ran away from him while trying to approach them, Dennis said “was that a hunter’s joke” and Todd replied “half right, half wrong” he meant that he IS a hunter, and it wasn’t a joke. Because he really is “hunting” for them.

Remember when Todd and Dennis first did the deed, there was a deer that was being hunted by something and was killed in the end. That indicate that Todd is not alone. Foxes typically live in small family groups, consisting of a breeding pair and their offspring. Young foxes, especially males, will eventually leave their family group to establish their own territories.

Killing those sheep and having them as source of food was the plan all along before winter comes, it could be that its for his skulk (term for family groups of foxes) all those sheep blood trails points to the cliff because thats where their den is.
