lots of famous examples like the toyoko kids, or gurishita. i looked into the national police agency's statistics on such issues too (as part of my school coursework) and a large number of them do prostitution. even when you walk the streets of shibuya youll see many underage girls "advertising" themselves

many of them don't attend school. like a lot of runaway kids actually did it to escape abuse at home or bullying at school (these are just some reasons but there are others too) and they run away to find a community that can accept them, but in order to earn a living they turn to prostitution, and it's more or less normalised there. i mean, im sure you know how much pedophilic hentai there is out there... japan's child protection laws are terrible in general, like just look up the case of child idols in japan who do gravure shoots and such

dang... thanks for sharing for knowledge now it got me so curious, heck yeah imma check it out. i even dream of traveling to Japan someday well because of anime and such, but i didn't think it will be this wild there.
no wonder the artist is more likely depicting the stories of there work to real life scenario's in there country SMFH

I feel like having the whole “teen boy prostitutes himself bc he doesn’t feel accepted” concept is so trashy. There’s a number of different ways the author could show how the uke found acceptance when he felt so alienated being gay that does not involve fucking old men. I held out hope the uke was just meeting the men at hotels and letting them carcasses his feet/legs in heels, but was so disappointed to see he was used instead.
