Still applies, it would be a shitty story, or at least would go an a whole different direction. mc would now be the shitty person honestly. If it continued that route, the story would now have to focus on mc hiding he truth and being guilty and all that sh*t and thered be a dilemma arc where mc would wonder if he really deserved the love or smth idk

mc will actually be in a “shitty person” position in many ways not just that part where he killed her brother. his character wasn’t necessarily a good person or a hero route hes in a bit of a grey area especially in the later chapters. still i think you would like the way the author unfolds that part

Idk about the novel cuz I havent read it, but in the webtoon the entire thing just felt one sided. Na yoon kept misunderstanding the mc’s words esp the part where they were sleeping outside and the mc was talking to uhh forgot her name but the little girl. Since that scene where mc thought how he shouldnt get close with nayoon, most of his actual chemistry scenes were with the princess. Id actually argue that the whole dilemma that the mc is having, isnt romantic dilemma but platonic. Hes scared to get close to her as a friend because he’s going to k!ll her brother, but nayoon wants more.
But from what I can understand you are frustrated about the execution rather than the event itself. But also, proximity =/= chemistry.
I don't like Na Yoon.
