My only issue with this story is Karas' inconsistent killing. He kills everyone left and right, with no regard for who they are and what it will cause to kill them, but he keeps the council alive? I get it's for the plot, we need an antagonist, but pls Karas, wake up and kill this dude!!

i would imagine it has something to do w the power level between a random soldier vs the literal council of the king but man, hes literally the ruler of said kingdom.. if he wants to kill these guys and send ppl to kill off the stragglers that support them, he COULD. but then also abel’s “even ants are worthy of life :)” could play into it somehow and also i think theres a plan in place to give them justice but its the age old “kill them now, end the story prematurely (and we surely wouldnt want that)” idea LOL

I think its because of the councils influence all of them before the war were the richest (trades and all that) and had most control of the kingdom then karas started the war colonizing the rest of the continent now trading is cheaper and easier and war profiteers become richer and now support him then the council lose money and when all is said and done he will just pick them off one by one
