Why are Llewellyn's nails brown? I first thought it was because he kept peeling onions with his bare fingernails, and they looked smudgy too, but as the art style changed they became fully solid brown like nail polish. Is it due to malnutrition? If so, can't it heal? I don't know why but this occupied my brain through out the story and I am still very curious

    I've always thought it was because of his unique genetic? They've described him as a human being with special genetic traits.

    Aah yeah, that's true. I never thought that might be the cause but it makes sense.

    I think it's because of the torture lewellyn had to endure. The guards used to repeatedly rip out his nails that damaged his nail bed. So his nail grew to be darker
