Tbh this kind of obsessive attachment is the most dangerous kind irl. Everyone fits into an attachment style and it’s due to how you were raised but since he grew up with nothing and had to hold on desperately to everything he wanted to keep as his own, he became this way. She saw him as a person and saved the part of him he thought was lost so he views her as HIS saviour with triple emphasis on the HIS. He probably also empathises with her past and thinks “I’m the only one who truly knows and understands her!” And therefore views his brother as a villain. He likely didn’t get attached too quickly. It likely happened when he got dragged onto the dance floor by her and he realised it was because she was being ridiculed and he learnt that she too is in a precarious position. I personally do love this type of character most cause they have so many layers upon layers of hidden lore but irl this person is a red flag! He may not know what he’s doing is wrong and heading into criminal territory and he may not see what he’s doing as bad since in his mind, he’s saving his saviour from a villain. That’s why he’s so dangerous.

Exactly. He needs more people to become “his” people so the obsession is spread across multiple levels and is lessened for each person individually. I do think he would make an excellent uncle and maybe even guard for the princess since he can use his bird to anticipate attacks. Unfortunately therapy doesn’t exist at that point in time so the best he can do is manage his dark thoughts with redirection towards positive things.
Please keep it at just being shady and don’t cross the line so that I can still justify my love for you ╥﹏╥
