As a professional BL reader, it's rare to have a kid grown from a violent background been realistic portrait in BL. I volunteered in a shelter few years ago and I can tell kids reproduce what they have in home. If their home was violent they're violent with other kids. Usually, in BL the poor guy (usually an uke) is so mingle and we'll behaved... The perfect victim. But in real life most of these kids is labeled as problematic and "no-future" by their community or even by the social agents I worked with. in my country most of theses kids are black kids, so the racism makes it worst.
