firstly it’s got big xenophobia vibes. at the start it had a plausible deniability to said xenophobia vibes, but now…. like the alien are at most entitled (except lily) and are literally just people. if they were evil it would be fine or if we find out our main characters are actually evil it would also be fine but the manga is just not doing that. it just leaves me with a big eeeeeee feeling. then the character are doing something? like black hair man processed his trauma in the most racist way possible and then feels icky when he killing ppl. it just feels kinda meh. he’s clearly not anyone’s favourite character. then we got main girlie who isn’t really doing that much. like she’s eating ppl. her character development is weird. she goes from racist and eating ppl to dumb as fuck and eating ppl. i guess going into it i was expecting her and black hair man to become murderous besties trying to do crime whilst also avoiding the assassin corp (idk what it’s called) but it’s just not happening. i like black hair girlie and i was really hoping for them to become friends and lesbos together but that is also not happening. everyone is kinda just a xenophobic dick in this manga and it sucks the progression out of the plot. things are clearly happening but the characters aren’t going anywhere. the author is just blue balling me with character development.
i won’t drop it yet but 25 chapters is enough to disprove the racism allegations (which it clearly hasn’t). i think it’s like a funny manga and i like the art i just want it to like decide what it’s doing （￣へ￣）
