I was 17 or 18 when I first read Walk on Water

and even then, it left something deep in me. I didn’t fully understand everything, like the weight of Ed and McQueen’s fallout or the pressure they carried, but I felt it. Now, rereading it at 23, those same emotions came rushing back. It still hurts, still resonates, still feels achingly beautiful. I don’t have the right words for what this story means to me, only that I love it deeply. To my future self, may you find your way back to this story again and remember how it once made you feel everything, all at once. Absolutely a masterpiece
