He did die but because he only died once and got sent to the past he keeps confusing himself plus he didn’t know what would happen after Taehwa survived so he doesn’t know if he will die another way or not
But I think he got sent back to the time before he met Taehwa again which is why his hand and stuff is still like that or I could be wrong we’ll have to find out
The reason it's so chaotic now loke we can't understand sht is bcs it's still not finished. There's a high chance that the mc didn't klled himself one time or returned on the past one time too. Since the timeline is so messy now bcs we read this on Mc's pov who also lost track which life he is now.
