still sympathetic for jiho

Sorry he’s just a misanthropic man who would rather self destruct and sabotage because he knows as a person he doesn’t deserve good things and to be treated well because that’s how he’s been raised. He’d rather develop bad habits and get taken advantage of to prove he’s a terrible person and undeserving of love. I’m actually excited to see how he develops from here

The problem with that is that he's going about it in a way to simultaneously ruin the mc. Dude is fucked up in tge head. And honestly no he doesn't deserve the mc. He can go fix himself by himself but honestly the mc deserves to live a life without someone destroying him from the inside.

But eh its a manhwa this shit will just roll around to them meeting up at some point, they see eachother, mc chases, ml tries to run away to finally they end up together in some sappy manner with the ml fixing himself and the mc with his never-ending love and husky personality helps him till the end.

Honestly I'm just hoping this story is different.

I mean the way it’s interpreted is that MC, is already the type of person who fixates and puts Jiho on the pedestal. He looks through the rose colored glasses and is inherently biased which is why Jiho was confused for his affection initially because he and everyone knows he’s a terrible person. I think narratively this was the best, for MC to hit rock bottom because he rlly put idolized Jiho, if Jiho never ran away. I think their relationship would even have a worse blow out. Mc’s never ending love is also a problem imo, and I also hope he grows out of it. I think this story has potential because it’s an interesting story with two complex characters and hopefully it plays out better. I do expect a push and pull. Whether they deserve a happy ending? As now, it’s open, one is heading towards self destruction due to self loathing and the other is following the same direction because he put someone on the pedestal and idolized them and that image of them broke.
