No, even though you'd get more background about Uno's character, and a clear view of his personnality, you can definitely read this one apart from the previous work and still understand what's going on, since the 2 stories' plots are not directly linked per se, but some of the characters (aka Uno, Shadow, etc) have already been introduced to us through Red Candy. Also, some of Bad Apple's scenes have been teased at the end of Red Candy, just so that the viewers would tune in for this new couple's story i guess !

Do i have to read the main story all over again to read this ? I stopped reading "Red Candy" in the middle of the story.
