this is just an opinion of mine. maybe it’s just shocking/overwhelming for siwoon to encounter an awakened one with an attitude like jiwoo since it’s uncommon, we know how ruthless those awakened ones are and the fact that he was protected by someone who he considered an enemy could affect his judgement/decisions so yea. we don’t have a full understanding of siwoon’s character yet and maybe he’s just not merciless like his master. (hear me out, duke should’ve been andrei’s disciple, those two were cut from the same cloth)
jiwoo’s lost was inevitable, let’s not forget that even though he has a great combat sense, his powerhouse where he stores his power is still weak compared to siwoon’s who was trained for years. well even if jiwoo lost, he made it count just like kayden said. he got a chance to use his newest technique. i hope that he will kick jurion’s ass next. God, i hate that guy

Yeah I actually realized this later on. I judged Siwoon too much. Since Jiwoo is becoming more like Kayden, I inherently assumed Siwoon is also like Andrei. I knew that Jiwoo must lose at some point but bcs how I judged Siwoon, I just accepted that Jiwoo will not lose here since Jiwoo losing means he's dying.
Fkin spoiler
Jiwoo lost. I don't know how to feel since I know Jiwoo cannot win always but Siwoo switching up like that kinda feels BS but okay at least Jiwoo is still alive. I like that he lost (since this is growth) but it really doesn't make sense on how Siwoo still kept Jiwoo alive. Dude's bloodthirsty but just hearing that Jiwoo prevented everyone from interfering their match now Siwoo acted like that? Siwoo you know you can still continue your master's legacy if you kill Jiwoo right? I don't know what I want at this point but I kinda feel down.
