hmm assuming you haven’t read the novel I get why you find lsy irritating atp but later when he confirms who cej actually is and their past/lsy’s trauma is revealed their relationship improves significantly
I did too found him annoying at the beginning but he „redeemed” himself in a way, i mean lsy sacrificed a lot for cej but i don’t want to spoil anything

I am surprised I didn't get that many downvotes.
No, I haven't. I discovered the manhwa/webtoon adaptation first.
I believe you, but I have no patience with this archetype anymore.
Male Leads like him often "redeem" themselves after their Female Lead or Uke suffered a lot for them, impressed them enough, or reveal themselves as someone who is connected to their past.
The sad, traumatic past is always a convenient excuse for a bad boy's misbehaviour.
I'm sorry for expressing my personal rant.
Thank you for your response.

Tbh I mostly stayed for Chae Euijae and because I started reading this without expecting much. I ended up getting curious enough with the plot too so I tried reading the next chapters in the novel and liked it. And now I guess I find Lee Sayoung kinda funny and cute at times. I’m not gonna force you to keep reading because it’s up to you if you want to or not, and ofc we all have our preferences with MLs, but I’m just gonna say that his character and dynamics with Euijae does get better.
What exactly do you like about the ML/Seme Lee Sa-young?
I've seen enough other MLs or Semes with similar looks, personality, power, and social status as him trying to harm the FL or Uke and harassing or aggressively pursuing them until they gave in to their demands.
I'm sorry but I have zero tolerances for arrogant, entitled, manipulative Nobles, Royals, CEOs, Guildmasters etc., who use their privilege to bother and pressure their chosen love-interest.
Other examples:
7th Time Loop
Take Me Back Home
Traces of the Sun
I know this story is not for me and I accept your taste, but I think Cha Eui-jae deserves better.
