I also agree with you but i also understand her because imagine your life being in shadows and behind doors will always feeling so little due to physical harassment and mental and psychological harrassment. So i understand why she keep saying "yes" to him is because he need to have some confidence about himself and confidence started when we can get what we want without cowering in fear of being hurt or shittalk. Anyway they are rich. They can do what they want.
Okay, chapter 26, I love Adam to bits, but I hate that trope where a kid asks the FL to do something that's out of their comfort zone or inappropriate to do as an adult but the FL caves bc the kid says it cutely. Like, set boundaries and teach your child that some requests can/will make people uncomfortable and you shouldn't expect them to do them just bc you think it's okay, or at the very least explain to them, that you don't want to, no means no, kid
