Basically hay yool threatens/blackmail yeongwoon so he will quit becoming seo in manager... And Seo In knows about it so he meet hay yool to find out what the blackmail about. The 2nd male lead already know that hay yool have smtg against yeongwoon and Seo in so he keep tabs on hay yool so he won't do anything funny. When he learn that hay yool is meeting with someone maybe he suspects it's seo in and show up to see what happens. Since Hay yool is still his idol contract with his company, of course he doesn't want any damage to the goods, that's why he stop Seo In from whatever's he's doing to hay yool right now
As for why yeongwoon is all bruised up, that was the flashbacks when he was little and his father beat him a lot. The 2nd male lead is there because he care about yeongwoon but he also their loan sharks so he can't do anything about it as in he don't even deserve to feel sympathy for yeongwoon
